William Wayne Christine

William Wayne Christine, 74, of Concord, N.C. died June 25, 2026. “Bill” Christine, son
of Oliver and Mary (Sherbak) Christine, loving husband of Jill Thompson Christine,
formerly of Leesburg, IN, passed away on Thursday 6/25/26 at his home in Concord,
N.C. surrounded by family after a long battle related to his health which he fought
bravely.

He is survived by his wife Jill, son/daughter-in-law Nicholas and Christina Christine, and
daughter/son-in-law Lynn and Erica Christine Ellenwood. He is also survived by his four
beautiful granddaughters Chloe Ellenwood, Elizabeth Ellenwood, Lillie Christine, and
Brooke Christine. He is also survived by his sister/brother-in-law Philip and Patricia
Christine Darby, niece Heather, nephews Chris, Aaron, and Adam, brother-in-laws and
sister-in-laws Nancy and Peter Sproul, John and Susan Thompson, and Bruce and Jill
Thompson.

Christine worked as an insurance adjuster until his retirement in 2015 and
continued to work part-time just to keep himself busy. In his retirement, he and Jill
enjoyed travelling throughout the United States in their RV, especially to areas involving
lakes and bodies of water. He loved sailboat racing, golfing, woodworking, reading,
church choir, and flipping house with his wife Jill. The best memories made with his
loving wife, children, grandchildren and extended family were made on Lake
Tippecanoe in Indiana. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A private memorial will be held by family in Miller Beach, Indiana where Bill grew up at a
later date.
